Federal Polytechnic, Mubi General Cut Off Mark, and Departmental Cut Off Mark
The cutoff mark is simply the minimum score one needs to score in JAMB before he or she can gain admission into his or her preferred institution. However, there are what we call general cutoff marks and departmental cutoff marks.
The general cutoff mark is that score in which one needs to pass before he can be qualified for the screening exercise. The general cutoff mark for (MUBIPOLY) is 100. So one needs to get at least 100 before he or she can register for their post-UTME.
However, the departmental cutoff is that score one needs to get after the post-UTME (screening) results have been released before he or she can be admitted. The truth here is that it’s most higher institutions that take post-UTME (exam) that releases departmental cutoff marks, but most schools that use screening don’t make use of departmental cutoff marks like MONOPOLY.
