The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) usually assigns corps members to various states to execute their assignments in their various places of primary assignments (PPAs). The Federal Government College Staff Nursery and Primary School FGC SNAPS is one of the best PPAs for any corp member who is passionate about teaching. This PPA is located at Kolokuma/Opokuma LGA, in Bayelsa State.
From the feedback from corp members, this PPA usually pays the sum of ₦8,000, and they are known for offering a form of accommodation. However, some corp members have complained about the unfriendly work environment within the PPA.
- Government Science and Technology College – Bayelsa State
One place to serve as a Corp member with a conducive work environment is the government science and technology college. This institution is located in Bayelsa state, Okaka Yenagoa. The institution is known for treating corp members well. Corp members here are given some stipend from the state government, coupled with the federal allowance.

The state school, Oguma, is a primary institution located in Oguma LGA. The school provides adequate education to children in the LGA. They usually treat Corp members well, with very conducive accommodation.
- Niger Delta University Teaching Hospital (NDUTH) – Bayelsa State.
This PPA is a very good place to serve, especially for medical corps members. It is located in Okolobiri, Yenagoa, Bayelsa state. It provides accommodation for its Corp members, close to the hospital.

Please how do I get a request letter to be posted to Bayelsa state ministry of education
Thank you for your response. Kindly endeavor to visit the Bayelsa State Ministry of Education in person and request for an acceptance letter(Especially if you don’t have a PPA assigned to you yet).
The ministry will automatically address the NYSC state coordinator, which includes your needed service.
Then proceed to submiting the letter to the state State Secretariat.
