Can’t Log In To School Portal After Change Of Institution? See What To Do!

by EDUFEED BRAINS

There is a popular problem aspirants normally face after doing a change of institution. This is a problem of not being able to log in to their school portal successfully after making this change.

When they try to log in to their school portal, they get several error responses like

  • Data not found
  • Invalid login details

You have not made our institution your first choice.

And so many more which prevent them from logging in. Getting access to their school is very necessary, as it will help them register for the school post-UTME, monitor their admission and more. But how can they do that when they don’t have access?

Are you also in this situation? If yes, the question is, what can you do? Well, in today’s article, I will be telling you what to do and how to go about it in this situation.

But before we proceed, let’s start by understanding the main cause of this issue. Why is it that after doing a change of institution, you still find it hard to log in? Let’s answer that question.

What Causes This?

It’s simple! After doing a change of institution to a particular school, such an institution will have to upload your details to their database before you will be able to log in to their portal. And guess what? They usually wait for the candidates to reach a certain amount before uploading it to their database at once.

This process is also known as cropping, and it is usually done in phases. So in essence, the main cause of the issue of not being able to log in to your school portal after doing a change of institution is because your institution hasn’t uploaded your details to their database yet.

If your details are not on their database, there is no way you will be able to access their portal. I know you must have seen comments of people on social media saying they did a change of institution and they were able to log in to their school portal in a few hours. And now you will be wondering why yours is taking time.

Well, they were just lucky to have done it close to when their institution was about to upload another set of candidate details to their portal. But in your own case, it wasn’t so. Well, you can’t blame yourself because there was no way you would have known.

Nevertheless, the question now is “What can you do in this situation?” Let’s answer that.

What To Do?

Below are the things you can do.

  • Have Patience

The first thing you need to do is to have patience. I know some of you are under pressure, probably because the post-UTME registration of the institution you changed to will soon come to an end.

I understand. Cases like this will only make you pressurised, but just help yourself by calming down and having patience. As long as the deadline hasn’t been reached yet, just hold on and wait patiently for your institution to upload your details to their database.

All you have to do is to keep on trying to log in to your school portal occasionally until it works. Some institutions tend to upload these details late; that’s why.

  • Change To Another Institution

However, if the deadline passes and you are still not able to log in, kindly switch to another institution whose form is still available as soon as possible. Although a situation like this is very rare, that doesn’t mean it can’t happen.

So these are the two things you have to do if you can’t log in to your school portal after doing a change of institution. However, before we conclude this article, I would like you to take note of something.

Kindly note that if you do a change of institution to an institution after their post-UTME registration or screening/exam has ended, just change to another institution whose form is still available. This is because there is no way such an institution will upload your details on their database after the deadline or screening/exam has been conducted already.

So in conclusion, the cause of the issue is because your institution hasn’t uploaded your details on their database. And what you are to do is either to have patience or change your institution as explained above.
